AerialRestore identifies each stream by its embedded lens identifier in the H.265 SPS and outputs them as separate .MP4 files with their original 'WIDE' or 'TELE' filename suffix preserved.

What microSD card should I use with Air 2S / Air 3?

Air 3 at 4K/100: V60 minimum (Sandisk Extreme Pro 128 GB or Lexar Pro 1066x). Air 2S at 5.4K: V90 strongly recommended (Sandisk Extreme Pro V90 or Angelbird AV PRO V90). V30 cards will produce card errors at the higher bitrates.

Does AerialRestore preserve D-Log color profile?

Yes. D-Log is a metadata flag inside the H.265 stream — recovery is identical to standard H.265, and the recovered file opens in Resolve / Premiere with D-Log color intact.

Can I recover Air 2S 5.4K hyperlapse files?

Yes. Hyperlapses are written as standard H.265 .MP4 files (not RAW image sequences in Air 2S). They carve identically to standard video.

My Air's card shows as RAW or unformatted on Mac. Recoverable?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and don't let macOS reformat it. RAW filesystem usually means the FAT/exFAT table got corrupted but the actual file data is untouched. AerialRestore reads the raw clusters and reconstructs the H.265 streams without needing a valid filesystem.

What about MasterShots and QuickShots?

Accepted Answer

Both write standard H.265 .MP4 files to the card. They recover identically to manually-shot footage. The MasterShots edit/preset metadata is in DJI Fly's app database (not on the card), so the auto-edit won't carry over — but the source clips will.
